General Assembly 2018: June 20-24, Kansas City, MO

Do you know that our Unitarian-Universalist Association governs our denomination with an annual General Assembly? Attendees worship, witness, learn, connect, and make policy for the Association through democratic process. And it’s a great experience to meet UU’s from all points on the compass.

UUCJ is entitled to 5 delegates based on our membership size. The Board will authorize members to serve as delegates, but is not able to reimburse travel or registration costs.

You may attend in person or off-site. Off-site registrants are able to:

  • Listen to the mini assemblies on the proposed bylaw amendments and the proposed Congregational Study Action Issues. Delegates will be able to propose amendments.
  • Participate in an online chat room to build community and share ideas with other off-site registrants.
  • Watch video of additional workshops within one day of each event.
  • You’ll also be able to watch all events that happen in the General Session Hall: worships, business meetings, and the Ware Lecture. Delegates will be able to participate in debates and vote in business sessions.

Check the GA portion of the UUA website for more details: https://www.uua.org/ga. If you want to serve as a delegate, please contact Wende Carter by June 15 at:  or (904) 710 – 9830
