Our Muslim Neighbors August 17

Buckman Bridge UU Church invites our congregation to an  afternoon workshop, “Our Muslim Neighbors” on August 17th, from 4:30 – 7:30 The afternoon starts off by viewing “America Inside Out: The Muslim Next Door” followed by listening circles as our Muslim neighbors share their stories and experiences of Muslim life in NE Florida. They will break with light Halal refreshments before their special guest, Basma Alawee of the Florida Immigrant Coalition, presents a workshop on what to do when confronted with islamophobia in our communities and daily lives.
