Sometimes when we’re going through hard times we feel like we are alone. This is exactly the time to pick up the phone and call someone. Maybe someone from your past you haven’t spoken to in a long while. Or a friend that you haven’t spoken to in a few days or weeks.

Talking on the phone helps us to feel connected. So think of two or three “phone-buddies” that you can check in with. And check in with at least one of them once a week. You’ll instantly feel better.

Sometimes we need to talk about our problems. Sometimes we need to talk about anything but our problems. We are social beings and when we connect—even the slightest way—it registers in our brain, in our body, and in our heart.It’s also a good way for us to keep our beloved community connected. So think of calling somebody else from the church this week.
