Arlington Community Services Update

UUCJ/ACS Teamsters delivered 48 pounds on Monday.  Mary Louise Weber, Executive Director, ACS, indicated that they fed 119 folks and helped six families with rent/JEA this month.  Thank you for your donations, support, and prayers during these uncertain times.  Current needs are: canned soup, canned peas, canned fruit, sweet potatoes, crackers, canned meats and…

New Normal Team Update

The New Normal Team continues to explore ways to safely worship.  There are many active virtual groups listed on the UUCJ web site.  A post-election virtual discussion is planned for November 4 with Rev Johnson as the facilitator.  Consider outdoor meetings of 15 or fewer persons wearing masks and practicing social distancing. Indoor activities are not currently…

Longtime UUCJ member, Evelyn Sherwood, recently fell at her home.  She was admitted to Baptist and then transferred to Avante in Jacksonville Beach for rehabilitation.  Cards and notes would be greatly appreciated and should be sent to her home, 3332 America Ave., Jacksonville Beach 32250.  Best wishes to Evelyn for her complete recovery.
