UUCJ Birthdays

Belated birthday greetings to Sharon Scholl, whose birthday was Thursday, 5/13. Next week we celebrate the birthday of Penny Reid, whose birthday is Wed., May 19. Special Collection: READ USA

Our speaker this Sunday will be Terrence Freeman, newly appointed CEO of READ USA. UUCJ has done a special collection to sponsor a  READ USA book fair for the students of Arlington Heights Elementary School for the past 5 years.  The book fairs allow each student to choose three new books for summer reading.  The book fairs will be conducted  in person or virtually this year depending on how the students are attending school.  UUCJ is the only faith-based organization…

Arlington Community Services Update

Thanks for Your Continued Support of Our Arlington Neighbors! We delivered 53 lbs. of groceries on Mary 4 and added 365 pounds to the previous week based on what ACS indicated our members and friends donated in April.  If you keep this pace of donations throughout the year, we will exceed our goal, 3500 lbs., by 4213 pounds. Caring CAndles

Lynne Walling, Stuart Walling’s daughter, has just been diagnosed with metastatic cancer, and is undergoing tests in England, where she teaches at the University of Bristol. Thoughts and prayers are welcome at this difficult time of limited visitation and pandemic. Betsy and Tim Deuerling celebrated their 45th anniversary on May 1, 2021! Tina and Paul Ramey also celebrated their anniversary on May 3, number 12. Congratulations to everyone!
