The survey ended up with 77 responses for an estimated 70% participation rate.

Here is a list of the reports:

  1.  Two-page summary of the survey results
  2.  Item-by-Item Report including the summary, data tables, and comments
  3.  Minster Report
  4.  RE Report
  5.  Amendment III Report
  6.  Affinity Group Report

You can find them all here.

The comments in the above reports are not been sorted into categories:

  1. The survey included 17 comment questions to help better understand the rating question metrics. The time required to analyze the comments and sort them into categories would be fairly extensive. Plus, reading the raw comments is still useful and not that time consuming due to to read and glean meaning.
  2. As a survey mechanic, I have long been interested in new ways to extract meaning and possible actionable ideas from comments. So I decided to see lf ChatGPT would help synthesize the comments into key themes and potential actionable ideas. I tried it first on Q32 comments on Ideas for How to Attract/Retain New Members and was impressed — even shocked –with the quality and potential usefulness of the results in the Board’s action planning based on the survey results..

So, I decided to use ChatGPT on 7 comment questions that I thought would be most useful to the Board to have for their action planning process. You can find that analysis below.

Let me know if you have questions about the reports or have a special analysis you would like for me to run.

Finally, two-thirds of responses were optionally signed which is a good reflection on the trust existing in the congregation. The names do not appear in the various reports, However, if you see a comment that you would like to follow up with the person who wrote it I can check the data base to see if was a signed survey.
