Capital Campaign
Organizes and executes capital campaigns.

Committee on Ministry
Assesses the health of the ministry at UUCJ.

Forward Together Task Force
Assesses the impact of UUA’s policies, practices and theology on UUCJ, and informs the congregation.

Governance Committee
Advises the Board on UUCJ’s governance structure, organizational matters and application of the Bylaws.

Personnel Committee
Advises the Board on policies related to personnel administration, staff hiring practices and compensation, and job duties and responsibilities.

MINISTRY

Adult Religious Education Team (ARET)
Provides a lifespan adult religious education program that develops personal, community, and interfaith skills focused on the following areas: Unitarian Universalist roots, UU identity foundation, faith development, interfaith understanding and ethical practices.

Children/Youth Religious Education Team (CYRET)
The focus of our Religious Exploration programming is to provide a program for UUCJ’ children and teens that helps them travel through a personal journey of self-discovery and guides them toward adopting their own spiritual path.

Music Team
To provide mental, emotional inspiration, motivation and empowerment through music to the UU congregation.

Worship Team
To support spiritual growth and beloved community and to ensure quality worship services by facilitating meaningful and inspirational experiences.

INREACH

Membership Committee
Helps grow the Church’s membership; assists with creating a congregational life that encourages connections and fellowship; and fosters right relations between and among members.

Fellowship Team
Planning and coordinating after service refreshments for members and visitors to provide social time and fellowship.

Caring Network
Provides support to the congregation and serves as a resource through neighborhood network coordinators.

OUTREACH

ICARE
Furthers social justice in Jacksonville and Florida by connecting with other faith groups and sustaining a Justice Ministry Network at UUCJ.

Community Engagement Committee
Plans and implements community engagement activities external to UUCJ and facilitates special collections for local non-profit organizations.

OPERATIONS

Tech Team
Maintains church’s computer network, A/V capabilities, and manages UUCJ’s live broadcasts.

Campus Management Committee
Serves as the steward of buildings and grounds, their maintenance, and architectural integrity.

Green Sanctuary Committee
Ensures environmental justice and stewardship and oversees the Arlington Community Garden.

STEWARDSHIP

Committees in the Stewardship Portfolio focus on talent, time, and treasure and the financial well-being of the church. Contact for information on any of the following committees.

Finance Committee
Proposes and reviews the annual mission budget, keeps the church solvent, and oversees UUCJ’s
accounting functions.

Mission Funding Committee
Promotes and collects financial membership pledge commitments to annual funding goals.

Fundraising Committee
Plans, coordinates and implements events that raise money for the church.
