Caring Candles

Jay Huebner fell on September 10, 2021 and was diagnosed with a cracked lumbar vertebra. He is being treated with physical therapy at home. Their son, Jerold is visiting from New York through September 30. Healing energy goes out to Jay for his recovery.

Rev. Pat Ray

Rev. Pat Ray, who has been a member of our sister congregation BBUUC passed away on Saturday, September 25th in Deland, Florida where she had moved to be closer to her father. From the BBUUC website: Reverend Patricia (Pat) Ray is a Registered Nurse with a Masters’ degree in Public Administration, and a graduate certificate in Religious Studies from Hartford Seminary. Arlington Community Services Update

Thanks for Continuing to Support Our Neighbors in Arlington Our commitment to Arlington Community Services has been a long-term effort.  Because we do not have the resources or structure to provide direct aid, we assist non-profits who offer immediate assistance to Arlington and Jacksonville communities.  We donate food to Arlington Community Services and collect funds for non-profits via our Sunday Special Collections. David Johnson writes that he is continuing to recover at home from tongue reconstruction surgery and will forgo any radiation treatment based on his doctor’s revised recommendation.

Arlington Community Services Update

Hello everyone, The bad news is that we did not get to resume in person services in September.  The good news is that Rev. Lee Anne will deliver her first sermon at UUCJ on Srpt 12th.  We look forward to the start of a bright future. New COVID19 cases are half the number of a few weeks ago.
