What does it mean to be a people of trust? Sure, the current pandemic has caused a lot of changes to our personal lives and our life together in faith. But we can still work together on transition themes and issues. This week Rev. Roberta will lead two Zoom sessions of the Soul Matters workshop on trust that she led in person just a few weeks ago. Those who participated found the sessions challenging and affirming. You will get the most out of the workshop if you take a look at the spiritual exercises in advance and try one of them out for a few days. You can find them here: https://uucj.org/grow/adults/trust-exercises/. The session will be either Thursday April 2nd @ 7 pm (https://zoom.us/j/180107121) or Friday April 3rd @ 10 am (https://zoom.us/j/575168190).
Sunday, March 22, 12:30-1:30 p.m. “Go Teams: A new look at shared ministry here at UUCJ.”
One of the three immediate goals that came out of the Leadership Summit in January. An open time to talk, facilitated by Rev. Marti and other congregational leaders.
Saturday March 21, 2-4 p.m. “Do Your Minding, Not your Mending!”
Join Rev. Marti in the parsonage (the living quarters of your two transition ministers) for a Women’s History Month tea time and thoughtful conversation about things that matter for female-identified people. In the spirit of Margaret Fuller, 19th century writer and activist for social justice. RSVP:email@example.com.
The Transition theme for the month of March is trust. Rev. Roberta will be conducting Soul Matters small group sessions on Thursday, March 5 at 7:00 p.m. and Friday, March 6 at 10:30 a.m. in the Anthony Room. In order to participate, you are asked to experiment with one of the spiritual exercises that can be found via the link below or in the Sunday bulletin. Come to the session prepared to talk about your experience.
