PIANISTS, SOLOISTS, SINGING GROUPS–YOUR TALENTS ARE DESIRED

Our music team at UUCJ is one fantastic group of musicians, however it is a small one and getting smaller.  Jeanne Huebner who so beautifully filled many vital roles within the music group, including pianist, has temporarily had to step down. Sharon Scholl has been doing an amazing job as our primary accompanist, however a backup pianist or more are sorely needed to put some flexibility and peace of mind into the program.     What a blessing it is…

Progress in the UUCJ Garden: Help Needed Nov 21, 2:40-4:00pm

Both the arbor over the bench and the tree in the corner have been trimmed in the garden to the right of the walkway to our church, along with much raking, cleaning up and weeding. Garden Beautification at UUCJ: Help Needed Nov 14, 2:40-4:00pm

Progress was made last Sunday in our attempt  to clean up the garden adjacent to the walkway of our church:  most dead plants were removed, many were pruned, weeding and raking took place thanks to the efforts of Hope, Betsy, Lois, Teri, Carlos, Kim and Darlene.   It was fun working together and the results were a thing to behold.   We did not however finish the cleanup phase, much weeding and raking needs to be done –  SURE COULD USE A…

Taking a leap of faith in a continued decline of Covid infections, we choristers invite you to join us for rehearsals beginning on Sunday, October 31 from 1:30 to 2:30 in-person at our church. We prepare for Choir Sunday on December 19 with a program titled “The Spirit of Christmas”, including five anthems and commentary on the familiar elements of the Nativity story.
