We invite you and your family to join us for a new season of Religious Education (RE) at UUCJ! This year, we are offering engaging classes designed to nurture the spiritual growth and ethical development of our children in a warm and supportive environment. Our RE program provides opportunities for young people to explore Unitarian Universalist values, connect with their community, and have fun while learning. Whether your child is just beginning their journey in faith formation or is ready to take on a leadership role as a volunteer guide, we have a place for everyone!

Wonderful Welcome Class

for children ages 3-6

In this program, children identify intangible gifts central to Unitarian Universalism such as friendship, hospitality and fairness, and share these gifts with others.

Moral Tales Class

for children ages 7-10

This program provides children with spiritual and ethical tools to make choices and take actions that reflect their Unitarian Universalist beliefs and values.

We also plan to conduct group classes for children of all ages to attend on several Sundays throughout the year. Older children are welcome to join either class each week as volunteer guides for younger children! You can find more information about these curricula on the UUA website.

The teachers for the Wonderful Welcome class will be Steven Beck (lead) and Brianna Deuerling (associate). The teachers for the Moral Tales class will be Bridget Beck (lead) and Jack Rohal (associate). Zach Deuerling will support both classes as a substitute associate.

Keep an eye out for class schedules and ways to contribute to the RE program! Register your child for for RE using the button below.

We also offer childcare for children 0-2 in our nursery room every Sunday from 9:15 am to 12:15 pm. You can easily locate the nursery in the first room of the wing adjacent to the playground. Our childcare team strives to provide a warm and nurturing environment for children to enjoy while parents are in the sanctuary. Activities offered include snack, art, games, toys, walks, and outside play.
