Join us for a Ramadan Interfaith Iftar Dinner (the ceremonial breaking of the Ramadan Fast).

Welcome & Intro to Ramadan • Prayer Communal Meal & Fellowship • Clearing-up Together • Turkish Coffee & Hot Mint Tea • Cultural Games for All Children’s Activities: Write your name in Arabic!

Several local Muslim families will join UUCJ families and individuals for an evening of making inter-cultural friendships, sharing food and exploring the holy observance of Ramadan. Our Muslim guests will bring their traditional foods, tea and coffee to share with us when they break their fast at 8:30pm. UUCJ members and friends are invited to bring a dish to share as well—perhaps from your own cultural or family traditions. Remember that Muslims do not eat pork or food that contains alcohol. If you choose to bring a dish with these ingredients, it must be clearly marked! Let’s make this a fun evening of building new relationships and understanding—helping to create a world community with peace, liberty and justice for all!

In order to assist in planning, please R.S.V.P. by May 15th on the signup sheet at church, or by email to:, subject: Iftar RSVP
