“What is truth?” It’s the question Pontius Pilate asked 2,000 years ago, and it’s the question we are still wrestling with today. In this Easter Sunday message, we explore the “death of truth” in our modern world—from political evasion and media spin to the historical silencing of those who speak out against power. Drawing on the philosophy of Francis Bacon, the legacy of the Salvadoran martyrs, and local justice movements, we look at how truth is not just a set of facts, but a living force resurrected by community. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the “noise” of the world, this sermon offers a path toward inner peace and collective action. We are the “Sangha”—the community of practitioners—called to be a beacon of light in a world of shadows.
