Are you a new member looking for ways to offer your time and talent to your beloved community? Here are some ways to help.
Hosting our UUCJ Coffee and Fellowship Hour is a great way to meet people. Set up, serve and break down and clean up. People will talk to you and learn to know who you are! Luis Parra () is the chair of our hospitality team and can answer any questions you may have about this wonderful service opportunity. What better way to start or end your week than by making sure that we take care of one another with some warm hospitality and hot coffee?
Really all three slots can set up, serve and clean up. However, we want to make sure at least two people are on cleanup duty. You should be able to set up come to service and just leave a little early to make sure it is ready by end of service.
Campus Security Rovers
Be a UUCJ campus Rover. Walk the campus and keep an eye on the property on Sundays. One volunteer slot will be during the time members arrive for Spiritual Studies and Playing with Ideas, a second volunteer slot will be during our service. You will carry a walkie talkie and call for assistance if you see suspicious activity. No confrontations required! Please review the available slots below and click on the sign-up button. Sign up for one 1.5 hour slot, or both.
